Honduran Dark Roast Coffee
Story of the Roast
Honduran coffee can run a wide gamut in terms of quality - from low-range to delicatessen. Because coffee grading is inconsistent from country-to-country, we'll help you decipher. This is premium brew.
This SHG/EP/Org rating means this coffee was only grown at the highest altitude, which gives you a slow maturing bean. This makes for dense fruit and, ultimately, makes your coffee better. EP stands for European preparation, which means it's hand-sorted to pick out all of the bad stuff - smaller beans, sticks, stones, and other elements you don't want. Org stands for organically grown - not harmful chemicals.
All these letters mean - even without the reputation of Columbia, Bali, or Ethiopia - this single origin Honduran dark roast stands up with the best of them. Notes of caramel and brown sugar highlight this hold flavored delight.
Like all of our coffees, this is our private label coffee roasted to perfection in California. We have full bean or ground varieties - we recommend getting the whole beans and roughly grind them for a beautiful pour-over or French Press in the morning.
As always, it is available to be shipped regularly on subscription with free shipping!
